Merry Christmas to all and especially to BBM Sport as we have recieved some new toys in the form of Peugeot 9X8 Hypercars! This marks an exciting new era for us at BBM as we embark on a journey to the latest in motorsports technologies.
In November 2025, BBM Sport announced a landmark expansion by acquiring multiple Peugeot 9X8 hybrid hypercars, marking the first privateer operation for the revolutionary "wingless" prototype. Led by Bob Berridge, the UK-based team plans to enter up to two units in the 2026-27 Asian Le Mans Series (AsLMS), capitalizing on new regulations that mandate Bronze-rated drivers for the Hypercar class.
BBM Sport brings a deep-rooted history with the French manufacturer to this project, having long maintained and campaigned iconic Peugeot 905 and 908 prototypes in historic racing. The team has already taken delivery of the 9X8 chassis and confirmed Kriton Lendoudis as the first driver for the upcoming campaign.

Cutting-Edge Technology:
The 9X8 features a hybrid powertrain combining a 2.6L twin-turbo V6 with a front-mounted electric motor, producing a combined 680 horsepower.
Aero Innovation:
The project utilizes the original "wingless" design, which uses underbody aerodynamics to generate downforce, a bold departure from traditional endurance racing silhouettes.
Strategic Support:
While the WEC factory team is an in-house Peugeot operation, BBM Sport will receive technical support from Peugeot Sport to ensure the 9X8 remains competitive in its new privateer role.
